About Us
The Lameroo District Health Services operates as a general Hospital of up to 19 approved beds, nominally allocated as 12 acute and 7 long stay nursing home type beds.

Lameroo District Health Services provides and maintains Level 1 services in General Practice Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics and Anaesthetics. Accident and Emergency Service - 24 hour Casualty facility and basic facility for resuscitation and triage.
The Health Service provides and maintains a facility for basic diagnostic radiology and ensures that the appropriate pathology services are available to all patients and Practitioners using Hospital services.
Nursing services focus on the treatment and care of medical and surgical inpatients (general nursing), midwifery, paediatrics, geriatric and outreach services.
The Lameroo District Health Services also provide the general community with facilities for diagnosis and treatment as inpatients, day patients, outpatients, domiciliary care and other outreach services.
The Health Service fosters and encourages the development of professional education in all disciplines consistent with and associated with the functions of the Health Service.
The Lameroo District Health Services shall provide and maintain the proper facilities for a congenial, efficient and safe working environment for all employees of the Health Service and shall foster and maintain good working relationships between management and other employees of the Health Service.
The Health Service ensures the maintenance of high standards of patient care by endorsing and promoting Quality Assurance activities within the Health Service. This involves seeking expert advice from outside of the Health Service as required to achieve this objective.
We also strive to attract sufficient staff with an adequate skill mix and support them with appropriate up-to-date training that provides a coordinated service to Lameroo District Health Service and the Mallee Health Service. We will also endeavour to provide an efficient and safe environment and professional support for staff through the use of up-to-date technology within a modern facility
